Ms Yvonne Lim (Lim Quah Peng) MIH is a certified trainer under the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia for the Human Resources Development Corporation (HRD Corp), an elected member and mentor of the Institute of Hospitality UK a global educational charity that promotes hospitality professionalism through lifelong learning. Earlier Yvonne obtained her Advanced Diploma in Marketing Management from Swansea Institute of Higher Education, University of Wales Associated College, U.K.

Ms Yvonne Lim has been a hotelier for more than 25 years started her hotel career in the F&B department before moving into the Sales & Marketing department, from single-brand hotels to regional role of public listed chain hotels overseeing a portfolio of 10 local and overseas operating hotels with over 30 staff members across 5 divisions in the Central Sales Team, Central Reservation, MARCOM, E-Commerce & Regional Sales Offices.

Yvonne brought with her 4 pre-opening experiences in city hotels, hill resort and island resort. In 2017 she achieved the ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Provision of Hotel Management Services in Sales & Marketing for Swiss-Garden International and her last stint was with Marriott International where she re-launched and re-position Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel after its multimillion-dollar facelift, aligning with the global Sheraton brand transformation and she was also the Sales & Marketing chair for Marriott International Malaysia Business Council in 2018.

A passionate Sales & Marketing professional with a wealth of tourism experiences in MICE, Wholesale, Corporate RFP, Revenue Management, Airline Programs, she co-founded Discovery Hotel Industry Consultancy which provides productivity consultation and training across the hospitality industry.

Yvonne’s training approach is sharing yet straightforward and hands-on. She empowers by relating to real-life case studies filled with proven practical tips. She is proficient in English, Chinese, and Malay language.

Currently, Yvonne is the appointed sales trainer for Marriott International Sales & Service Foundations: Ready, Set, Sell training program.

Mr. Lee Choon Loong began his professional career in property development, hospitality management and travel services in the early 1990's when he served as General Manager and Managing Director of subsidiaries of a public listed company.

His long illustrious career over 30 years includes serving on the Executive Council of National Tourism Council Malaysia (NTCM), Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA), Malaysia Inbound Tourism Association (MITA), Malaysia Cruise Industry Association (MCIA), Pahang State Promotion Association (PESTA) and the Malaysian Ecotourism Association (MEA). He has also been elected and served as Regional Vice-Chair (East Asia and the Pacific), United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) Affiliates Board for two terms. He was formerly a Hotel Star Rating Inspector appointed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MOCAT)

Mr. Lee is an experienced international consultant with a professional background in tourism development and implementation. He has a proven track record of working with government agencies and private organizations to achieve sustainable tourism growth.

Mr. Lee's expertise is in tourism feasibility studies, development of strategic plans and roadmaps, and implementation of public-private partnerships for investment opportunities. He has worked on key projects such as the ASEAN Roadmap for Strategic Development of Ecotourism Clusters and Tourism Corridors, Feasibility Study for the Redevelopment of Tourism in Kinabalu Park - UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Malaysia's National Tourism Policy 2020-2030.

Mr. Lee is a lead consultant in many regional tourism development projects working alongside policy makers, academics and community leaders. With his experience, he has also provided technical consultancy services to international development assistance organizations in the ASEAN region. He is also skilled in economic and financial consulting and consulted on mega resort development projects in Genting Highlands and Sabah.

Besides speaking at UNWTO conferences, he is also experienced in providing technical advice and consulting on regional tourism workshops and has convened several international tourism conferences in Asia. He is an expert in his field and has a passion for sustainable tourism development and growth.

Mr. Lee is professionally trained in Cost and Management Accounting and holds a Diploma in Human Resource Development for Hospitality Industry.
